COMMEMORATING THE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE 1400 - 1416 - 1421 - 1485. Information given here is not complete, for that visit Cefn Caer Exhibition and/or buy Terry Breverton's Book Owain Glyndwr from Embassy Glyndwr.

The below provides good information as to the areas of Hanes Glyndwr you might wish to commemorate and celebrate over the coming years of G660 - 2014 to 2016 and beyond. Such may be organised in a number of ways as Enthusiasts Field Trips and Patriotic Rallies also other local community Gwaith Glyndwr as Exhibitions in local  Libraries and community centres, setting up plaques, creating Glyndwr trails and adopting Brwydrau Glyndwr Battle Sites and campaign for them to be taken care of by local authorities and recognised by CADW with a special Golden Dragon Plaque. See below Hanes Glyndwr Battle Site Initiative.

Sian Ifan of Embassy Glyndwr launches her excellent Hanes Glyndwr exhibition at Cefn Caer Haf 2013.

 Hanes Glyndwr Battle Site Initiative.

Don't wait for local Authorities to get the job done, you can make a start and go set up plaques regards your local adopted Battle Site as follows, see below: Down load foto of Battle Site Plaque Blank 6 X 4 foto size, add name of Battle site and photo copy enlarge to A4 Size, laminate and attach to slightly larger wood/HB panel and set up where best suited. Otherwise add and arrow and use also as a direction finder for others to locate battle site. So as this work is not duplicated, get in touch and we can inform if a Battle site as been adopted already or not. At least make this your contribution to G660 Commemorative program.

Please send us your Baneri Glyndwr fotos.

Recently did a trip North and seen few Baneri Glyndwr flyiing and none at all in Caernarfon, there it was all 'Tudor Rags' to show the Town as truly Cambro Brit Loyal to the English Crown:

So, had to make a point of showing Baner Glyndwr over Yr Maes.

Hopefully by next year and thru to 2015, 2016 and beyond we will start to see much more of Baneri Glyndwr in Caernarfon and elsewhere.

Plus on 2 Tachwedd annually lets see Y Draig Aur raised high on Twt Hill again as raised in 1401 in challenge to English Rule.

of Glyndŵr's Banner; Golden dragon flag (Baner Y Ddraig Aur) .....battle flag, on Twt hill overlooking Caernarfon Castle on 2 November 1401.

Returning South, great to see that the Braich Goch Bunk House was flying Baner Glyndwr.

Now have you ordered a new large size Baner Glyndwr yet? If not do so in readiness for G660 - 2014. See previous posts for information and also note, now available at discounted half price Terry Breverton's excellent Glyndwr History:

LOOKING AHEAD SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME, MAYBE BUT THAT DEPENDS ON POBL GLYNDWR COMMITTING TO GWAITH FAWR GLYNDWR ASAP BUT FIRST THIS COMING 16 MEDI 'DYDD GLYNDWR' NATIONAL COMMEMORATION AND COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS - ARE YOU GETTING READY?

This will help promote:

Focus this Autumn needs to be on the Communities and using the 'National Hero' celebrations as a ways and means of establishing 'autonomous' locally based 'Glyndwr Communities' as the platforms for furthering G660 - 2014 Commemoration next year and into 2015 and 2016 also of course there after to 2021 big time! By which time surely all our people will be aware of Hanes Glyndwr and this history will be more acceptable to it's teaching in the Schools of Cymru/Wales. Not least our local Authorities will be as willing to support and further 16 Medi as out 'National Hero' day as they do 'Holocaust Day' and 'Black History Month' but not so 'Dydd Glyndwr' in the same official fulsome way. To this end Patriots must put shoulder to the wheel, half measures are not good enough when we are really up against it as patriotic apathy and a fading away of an interest in getting much done in an 'Ysbryd Cofiwn' way. I put this down to Devolution Dilettantism and fb laziness, if you have read my political blogs you will know what and whom I am talking about and face reality it is pathetic out there. If there is one or rather two things that drives me crazy it is calls to Remember Tryweryn and Remember Cilmeri, in my time back in the day these were calls and gatherings became platforms from which to launch patriotic campaigns not there for an annual 'Cilmeri Crew' to fool themselves as to their non patriotic importance. Thus here's the way you can help change that but note Pobl Glyndwr will be greatly on their own, do not expect much from our 'Welsh Establishments' and 'Old Boys/Girls Clubs' out there, nor the Literary and Arts Crowd surviving on 'Saxon Silver' scared of putting themselves out of pocket. So, what chance such as a Theatre Glyndwr?

I suspect more chance with Teyrnas Glyndwr, not least if certain 'younger generation' post 1982 patriots pack in their fb play station patriotic fringe acting out fantasies as Welsh 'Nappy Rash Warriors' and came down to Terra Firma and actually done some thing useful to serve Achos Glyndwr as hoped for with our Llysgenhadaeth Living History Initiative:

Welsh Medieval History Reenactment Societies are certainly not Nationalist  supporters and their Welsh Patriotism wears thin and thus lets not expect they to be over overwhelmingly supportive or seeking to be involved in G660 - 2014 and beyond. Thus we got to do it ourselves and that will be far more interesting than wasting time on fb and without doubt a magnificent contribution to Achos Glyndwr but not only an hobby you could make it pay. Useful to assist in getting you there is such as the below:

All this can cross over into a Theatr Glyndwr as Living History presentations, a great prt of G660 - 2014 and beyond will be in above areas of a positive Gwaith Glyndwr. Patriotic Rallies, there shall be, but we are not putting too much emphasis on they as our objective is to reach the people, enthuse and excite them to be involved within their own local 'Glyndwr Communities' in a number of ways to their own, family and greater community advantage.

                     PATRIOTIC POBL GLYNDWR GATHERINGS.

Summer 21 Mehefin Machynlleth and Autumn 24 Medi Vyrnwy also in consideration Gwyl Haf Glyndwr - Ystrad Tywy and Bryn Owain - Stalling Down Battle Site. Tachwedd 2 Caernarfon Gwyl y Ddraig Aur and in 2015 a major commemoration of the Battle of Graig y Dorth followed up with a march through Monmouth Town to make the Point Owain Glyndwr is our Prince of Cenedl Cymru Rydd and not Henry V an English Prince for Wales.

AZINCOURT THE TRUTH NOT THE CAMBRO BRIT TAFFY PROPAGANDA WHICH TAFFIES DOWN THROU THE AGES HAVE BEEN SUCKERS FOR AND WILL NO DOUBT BE AGAIN BIG TIME IN 2015 UNLESS WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, YES? SO, PAY ATTENTION TO THE BELOW PLEASE:

Fancy a trip to France to fight with the French at Azincourt, then join the Henry Gwyn 'Gwerin Owain Free Company':

Remember in 2015 if CADW or Welsh Theatre seeks to commemorate Azincourt with stuffing Shakespeare down our Throats then that will be a 'Trash It' campaign, go get ok!

COMMEMORATING GLYNDWR BATTLES.

In main best treated as 'Glyndwr Community' activities as adopting Battle Sites as part of the registration campaign (see I'r Gad Welsh Battle Site Campaign blog) or in the organising of Field Trips or site visits as a day out. In some instances as Brwydr Graig y Dorth 1404.

http://brwydrauglyndwr.blogspot.co.uk/2008_03_01_archive.html

That is a brief insight as to what we want to get up and running but it is only possible with a lot of Pobl Glyndwr aid and assistance, yes? Further Info and details in due course, leaving you know with the call to commemorate rising up of Y Ddraig Aur on Twt Hill, Caernarfon to mark event of 2 Tachwedd 1400:

Much more in due course, revisiting 14 years of Gwaith Glyndwr by Embassy Glyndwr, over coming years we hope to focus more on producing books, DVD's and YT Films.
